Random things in China

Fishing...sort of. We have seen people fishing, but I have never had my camera. These guys were getting shrimp or crawdads. They had a net on a stick and would try to lift them out of the water to their friends.

This is a common sight to see.

At first I thought it was crazy, now I am getting used to the idea of children riding on electric bikes. I have seen many families ride this way, some with 4-5 people on them. It makes me grateful for being crowded in a small car.

Salad anyone?
You would think there would be a health violation or something. Oh and they are the same people that put the meat on the telephone. (from a post a long time ago)

They did it again!
I think I would take the fish hanging over the raw strips of meat, but it's still gross!

Speaking of Sardines.....
This doesn't happen too often, but it does happen! This was taken on Tomb Sweeping Day (like our Memorial Day). We live buy a cemetary, so the bus's were extremely crowded that day.

Riot Training
We were walking to the bus stop and were approached by these guys. There were a few groups of them. It was sort of scary because I have never really been close to anyone with shields and night sticks. I am glad they were just training!

and lastly "The Bug"

A few posts back I talked about a scary bug. One that I didn't like. I did some research and found out they are called Geji. Here is something else fun to read about them:
“Geji,” or household centipedes, are known as “good bugs” in Japan, as their ninja-like maneuvering (and, cringe, their ability to jump) allows them to hunt other household pests like cockroaches and clothing moths.

Wikipedia says that geji are even sold in Japanese pet stores.

Okay so before you see the picture (scroll down if you dare), keep in mind that they are fast enough to catch cockroaches, and the thing that gets me... the can jump! I was scared before, now I am terrified! What if they ninja their way up to my bed??? Even if they are "good bugs" they're still creepy! EEEWWW

Hope you have sweet dreams tonight! I'm going to have nightmares!

SIck. That bug is disgusting, I think I would have nightmares worse than the spider ones I have now.
