Random Pic's of China So Far!

Ni Hao!!

This sign hangs from the stairs we climb everyday when we teach kindergarten. I think it is a great motto and everyone should live by it! What a happy place it would be!!
This is the view from our balcony . It is hardly ever this bright and sunny because it has been raining a lot, or it is cloudy, or what looks like pollution. Michael says it's humidity though! Two very cute girls in costume for the opening ceremony at our school! We even got to perform!

Typical day teaching! Half are looking at you like you are the scariest thing ever, the others are goofing off! Very typical. My favorite dish at the school cafeteria! There are many other things we haven't tried, but I am very happy with this!
Not so happy with this dish. Yes it is octopus or squid, something with tentacles. I have not seen these at the cafeteria though, thank heavens! This was at one of the formal dinners we have been too.

This is the view from the other side of the house! Some people come about every morning and it looks like they clean the river of the moss on top.

The rest of the pictures are of a Hike we went on. We can see the temple from our balcony, so we had to hike up to it! Worth every step, and there were a lot!

Our group that went with us (2 Ukranians, 1 Austrailian and 3 Americans)

Did I tell you there were a lot of steps?? There were a lot of steps.

The View from the top! At the top temple, there were many people honoring their ancestors by burning inscents and waving them around.

China is big, and the bugs in china are Big!

This Monk Stopped Michael and started speaking in Chinese, which we still don't understand!
Luckily our friend understands and translated that the monk was amazed at how big Michael was, and wanted a picture, which was great because we wanted a picture with a Monk, but didn't know if it would be disrespectful to ask.

After seeing this woman carry this load to the top, I have officially decided that I am a wimp. I was complaining of the hike, and I only had a backpack with a few things in it! She is also going the Steepest way up!
